A Next-Generation LED Video Wall for Immersive Sports Production
Embassy Row Studios brought a new level of visual flexibility to its New York production environment with the installation of a high-resolution LED video wall designed for extended reality and virtual production. The studio required a display solution capable of creating immersive backgrounds, dynamic environments, and broadcast-ready visuals while maintaining the flexibility needed for a modern television production workflow.
Designed for Immersive Production
The LED installation was developed specifically as an XR virtual production environment, allowing the studio to transform its visual surroundings without physically rebuilding the set. The large-format LED surface provides a seamless backdrop for different production scenarios, from sports broadcasts and interviews to branded segments and other studio programming. Its curved corner configuration helps extend the visual environment beyond a traditional flat background, creating a more immersive perspective for both cameras and viewers.
High-Resolution LED Technology
With a 1.2 mm pixel pitch, the display is designed to provide detailed imagery at close camera distances.
For broadcast and virtual production environments, fine pixel pitch is particularly important because cameras can capture the LED wall at much closer distances than typical large-format displays. The high-resolution surface helps deliver cleaner imagery, detailed backgrounds, and a more convincing connection between the physical studio and digital environments.
